Around midway through 2023 I started taking training more seriously. By the end of 2024, I began to feel like I could make a career out of it.

MMA class — I love being able to chain striking and wrestling together and experiment with new techniques.

What are your greatest strengths as an athlete or a fighter:
My persistence and faith in myself — those traits help me perform at my best inside the cage.

How would you describe your fighting style:
My footwork is heavily inspired by Dominick Cruz. I like to stay agile, move in and out, and cut angles to set up attacks while making my opponents miss.

MMA — I love the competitiveness of it. It drives me to constantly improve and be better every time I step into the cage.

Dominick Cruz — his mentality and fighting style inspire me.

My immediate goal is to end the year with a win at Eternal 101. Long term, I want to keep my winning streak going and eventually turn pro.

A high-paced fight featuring unorthodox movement and striking — and a fighter who gets better every time he steps into the cage.

How do you see your upcoming fight playing out:
I see it being a technical striking matchup — my opponent is a long-range striker, but I’ll be in constant motion, mixing angles and pressure. It’ll come down to whether he can keep up with my movement.

Karate and wrestling. I’ve been doing karate since I was 8 years old and have competed at the top level in Japan. That experience gave me confidence, and since coming to Australia, my wrestling has improved a lot.

A mix of karate and wrestling — I can dominate in both striking and grappling, and I always aim for the finish.

I played rugby league from age 12 to 19 before finding martial arts. Dan Hooker used to have a gym called Combat Academy that I tried one day during the footy offseason — I never looked back.

When did you begin to take MMA seriously as a hobby and then as a potential profession:
Pretty much straight away. I was training almost every day, and as I had more fights and saw my progress, I wanted to train full-time. In 2021, I quit my electrical apprenticeship to focus on training.

Favourite aspect of training or favourite session of the week, and why:
Sparring and wrestling/rolls — the best way to measure how good you currently are.

What are your greatest strengths as an athlete or a fighter:
My range and striking — being able to use different weapons to hurt my opponents.

How would you describe your fighting style:
Well-rounded, but I prefer to strike. I like to inflict damage with my striking more than anything.

What is your favourite sport and why:
MMA — though I also love boxing, kickboxing, and studying grappling arts.

Who is your favourite athlete:
Israel Adesanya and Jack Della Maddalena — he’s a G, haha.

The same two — Israel Adesanya and Jack Della Maddalena.

What are your immediate and long-term goals:
Put on a great performance at Eternal 100. Long term — fight in the UFC for a long time.

An exciting and violent fight. All my pro fights have gone that way, and I expect the same here.

How do you see your upcoming fight playing out:
These are hard to predict exactly, but I’m confident in my ability and the matchup with Jackson. He’s 4–0, so it’ll be good to get a win over someone with a strong resume.
