What belts or rankings do you currently possess as a martial artist:
Bjj Brown belt when on top & a 2 stripe blue belt when on bottom.
What sports or activities did you participate in growing up:
I did kung fu from a young age then started Rugby union, I was a big fat bastard, that couldn’t catch, pass or tackle very well so I was left with scrummaging and rucking at tight head position. I found I enjoyed fighting on or off the field more than rugby so left that there and started training boxing on and off instead.
When did you begin to take MMA seriously as a hobby and then as a potential profession:
When I moved to Australia I got introduced to bjj and fell in love with it instantly, not long after I started training with the Noke brothers and trained everyday from the off. Few weeks in I started doing their striking/mma classes and it took over my life in the best way possible. I was dedicated like a professional very early other than being dedicated in my diet. It wasn’t until I became more educated with diet years later and dropped to middleweight that I realised I’m pretty good at this.
Favourite aspect of training or favourite session of the week, and why:
I love it all but if I had to pick one session it would have to be mma sparring day. It’s the closest thing to replicating a real fight where I get to put it all together and link all the disciplines.
What are your greatest strengths as an athlete or a fighter:
I’m very coachable, too many people get shown or told things whether it be a technique or a strategy to implement or drill to practice and it goes in one ear and out the other and they go back to playing their A game and do what their comfortable doing. I get obsessed with learning and adding to my game constantly and if my coach tells me to do something it’s done until I get better at it.
How would you describe your fighting style:
Aggressive and in your face.
What is your favourite sport and why:
MMA. It’s the ultimate combat sport, the only thing would make it better is allow headbutts, I’d love to have an mma fight and be able to knock someone out with headbutts in their guard
Who is your favourite athlete:
Someone like Mike Perry would be up there, he’s a mad cunt.
Who is your favourite combat sports athlete:
Probably Mike Tyson, I spent so much time watching YouTube videos of Tyson knocking people out and training when I was growing up. He’s one of a kind
What are your immediate and long term goals:
My immediate goal is perform to the best of my ability on March 16th, beat Ben Johnston, get my hand raised and my long term goal is have a successful UFC career.
When fans see your name on a fight poster, what should they expect:
An exciting fight with either a quick finish or an 5 round war and a questionable post fight interview.
How do you see your upcoming fight playing out:
I dont focus on the outcomes or predictions, im going out there to perform and winning will be the by product of that, I’m prepared for the fight to go anywhere. You’ve got two guys at the top of the division who have trained hard to go in and take each others health away from the other. Let’s see who’s successful in doing that.
A final message to any friends, family and supporters:
Everyone coming to watch, tuning in at home from Australia or Wales, I’m forever grateful.

When did you begin to take MMA seriously as a hobby and then as a potential profession:
I started training at Ringworks in 2012 doing Muay Thai casually to get fit with no intentions of fighting. After about 2 years I ended up training 5 days a week and started doing mma and had my first amateur mma fight in 2016. I had a terrible amateur career going 0/5 and in 2019 I thought fuck it. If I’m going to do this I’ll have a crack professionally and went on to win my professional debut. Coming into 2024 I’m currently 2/2 as a professional and looking to get the ball rolling for a big year.
Favourite aspect of training or favourite session of the week, and why:
My favourite session of the week is wrestling, easily the hardest and most demanding aspect of mma.
I enjoy it for the simple reason of hard work, there’s no places to rest in wrestling like there is in jits. It’s just a constant chain between attacking and defending.
What are your greatest strengths as an athlete or a fighter:
I believe my greatest strengths as a fighter are my wrestling, striking power and decision making. I might not be the tallest, fastest or even strongest but I believe my ability to choose when to mix my striking in with my wrestling makes me a dangerous fight for anyone.
How would you describe your fighting style:
I’d describe my style as a brawler/ wrestler.
What is your favourite sport and why:
It would have to be MMA because of how exiting it is to watch and the fact there’s so many variables with it. Martial arts is the only sport where you could be whooping ass for 14 minutes and your opponent lands one good punch and you loose. You don’t really get that vulnerability in other sports
Who is your favourite athlete:
Favourite active athlete would hands down be Alexander Volkanovski.

Alexander Volkanovski / Frankie Edgar

Favourite aspect of training or favourite session of the week, and why:
I like the routine and grind of fight camps but I love the learning and growth you make out of fight camps. I love MMA because some weeks my favourite thing to do is jits and then other weeks it’s striking.

When did you begin to take MMA seriously as a hobby and then as a potential profession:
After fighting Wyatt Fraser I thought to myself even though I lost and was scared at the time I was able to hang in with a formidable opponent. Since that fight I started taking it serious it wanting a profession out of this sport. My record may say otherwise however I’ve only gotten better as the years have come and at the start of last year I finally had the courage to leave my original gym and make ends meet at LCA. Honestly the best thing I could’ve done was move there.
Favourite aspect of training or favourite session of the week, and why:
I think every week at training is amazing. Everyday is a grind at LCA. Drilling, sparring, juijitsu and wrestling, it’s all at 100% and no one isnt not breathing heaving or drenched in sweat. Everyone single person in that gym is shooting for the stars including myself so I well and truely belong their.
What are your greatest strengths as an athlete or a fighter:
I feel like as I’ve trained over the course of the months at LCA I’ve become very al-rounded I think I’m strong everywhere without a doubt, physically and mentally!
How would you describe your fighting style:
A Mixed Martial Artist.
What is your favourite sport and why:
MMA of course. I don’t watch much of it however the reason why I love it so much is because I relate to every single fighter that may be going through setbacks in life whether they’re getting ready for a fight or not. We can all relate no matter what we’re going through we have to show up to training 6 days out of the 7. Cut weight and perform infront of hundreds, thousands of people. If you think about it, it’s quite funny actually. Imagine you train 6 days a week, 2 times a day for 2 months just to fight 9, 15 minutes! Quite a cool, yet funny fact.

David goggins of course! “WHOS GONNA CARRY THE BOATS AND THE LOGS”
