What sports or activities did you participate in growing up:
I played soccer most of my life until about 12, when I started Taekwondo. I stopped both soccer and Taekwondo at 16 to fully commit to MMA.
When did you begin to take MMA seriously as a hobby and then as a potential profession:
At 16 years of age. From my first few weeks at Scrappy’s, I knew I wanted to fight — even though I got my ass handed to me for the first 2–3 years.
Favourite aspect of training or favourite session of the week, and why:
The hard live wrestling rounds. I might not be the best offensive wrestler, but I love the feeling of stuffing takedowns.
What are your greatest strengths as an athlete or a fighter:
My unpredictability and ability to be a tough puzzle to solve. I have many paths to victory, whether it’s on the ground or on the feet.
How would you describe your fighting style:
A striker in denial.

MMA — no question.

What are your immediate and long-term goals:
My immediate goal is to break into the top 10 amateur flyweights. Long-term, I want to turn pro after a successful amateur career.

An entertaining fight — whether it lasts 90 seconds or 9 minutes.
How do you see your upcoming fight playing out:
This is a very difficult, high-stakes fight for both myself and my opponent. We have very similar styles, so fans can expect a very entertaining clash.
